Intraclub Tournament Rules

ANGLER OF THE YEAR

ANGLER OF THE YEAR TOURNAMENT IS A FREE MONTHLY TOURNAMENT FOR ALL CLUB MEMBERS. THE TOURNAMENT STARTS IN APRIL AND RUNS ALL YEAR, AND ENDS IN DECEMBER. THERE ARE (9) NINE DIVISIONS OF FISH WHICH ARE:

APRIL – FLOUNDER
MAY - STRIPED BASS 
JUNE - STRIPED BASS AND MAKO SHARK 
JULY- FLUKE 
AUGUST- FLUKE 
SEPTEMBER - BLUE FISH AND DOLPHIN 
OCTOBER - STRIPED BASS AND SEA BASS 
NOVEMBER - STRIPED BASS AND BLACK FISH
DECEMBER - BLACK FISH 

THERE ARE THREE PRIZES FOR THE MONTLY FISH EACH MONTH. 

THE ANGLER OF THE YEAR, BOARD WHICH IS IN THE BAR AREA OF THE CLUB, WHICH SHOWS (10) TEN POSITIONS FOR ALL (9) NINE FISH, WHICH ARE 10 POINTS DOWN TO 1 POINT. 
 

THE ANGLER WHO WEIGHS THE FISH, MUST HAVE CAUGHT THE FISH, YOU MUST BE ON THE ROD. 
 

THE WEIGHT SLIP MUST BEFROM A CERTIFIED SCALE, DATED AND SIGNED BY THE WEIGH MASTER. THE WEIGH SLIP MUST BE IN THE ANGLER OF THE YEAR BOX UNDER THE BOARD WITHIN (6) SIX DAYS OF THE WEIGH SLIP,

DATE WITH THE ANGLERS NAME 

ALL STATE AND FEDERAL RULES APPLY 

AN INDIVIDUAL CAN ONLY WIN ONE PRIZE POSITION FOR EACH FISH. 

CATEGORY PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED AT THE NEXT MONTHLY MEETING 

AT THE END OF THE YEAR THE ANGLER OF THE YEAR, TOP POINTS TOTAL FOR FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD 

WILL BE AWARDED IN THE JANUARY MEETING. 

THE TOP THREE POSITIONS IN EACH FISH WILL BE AWARDED PRIZE MONEY ALSO. 

THE TUNA DIVISION INCLUDES. BLUE FIN, YELLOW FIN, BIG EYE, LONG FIN ALBACORE, FALSE ALBARCORE, BONITO  



INTER-CLUB TOURNAMENT RULES

PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED TO THE CLUB MEMBER WITH THE LARGEST FISH IN ALL CLUB AND PUBLIC TOURNAMENTS. 

A WEIGH SLIP WITH THE ANGLERS NAME AND WEIGHT FROM A CERTIFIED SCALE, AND THE DATE OF THE CATCH. 

THE SLIP MUST BE IN THE ANGLER OF THE YEAR BOX WITHIN (6) SIX DAYS OF THE CATCH. 

THE CLUB MEMBER MUST BE ENTERED IN THE CLUB OR PUBLIC TOURNAMENT. 

IF NO ELIGIBLE FISH ARE CAUGHT BY A CLUB MEMBER, THE PRIZE WILL NOT BE AWARDED. 

                      

CLUB’S PUBLIC TOURNAMENT RULES 

Prizes will be awarded for Thresher Fever, Fluke, Striped Bass and Blackfish Tournaments.
Members must be on the boat entered and they must catch the fish.
Participation must take place on the same day and hours of the public tournament.
All public tournament rules will apply where applicable, including weight and species.
Fish must be weighed from boat at Official Weigh dock and scale during tournament hours.
Entry fee and application must be completed and submitted if the member decides to fish more than one day. 

This applies to the multiple day tournaments.
One cash prize only for each tournament. In the event of a tie, the money will be divided equally.
If no eligible fish are caught by participating club member, the prize money 

will NOT be rolled over and no drawing will be held.
If the tournament is cancelled entry fee will be returned.
Prize structure is $250 per tournament.
Weigh slips must be submitted within one week of the catch date and mailed or put in 

the AOTY’s weigh box at the club.
