JCSA 2021 HIGH ROLLERS RULES AND REGULATIONS

1 At least one member must attend the captains’ meeting.

2 All state and federal rules apply.

3 All species of tuna are eligible except Bluefin over 73” inches.

4 All tackle IGFA Rules apply.

5 All Participants are assumed to have all necessary permits and registrations For permit & registration visit www.nmfspermits.com & www.nj.gov/dep/saltwaterregistry.

6 All boats must be in the inlet for weigh ins at Capt. Bill’s between 3PM & 5PM.

7 There is a maximum of 125 Nautical miles from Inlet which you are departing from.

8 VHF Channel 72 will be the channel for all tournament related communications and channel 65 would be the alternate.

9 In the event of a participating boat being disabled prior to declared fishing day they may transfer to a substitute vessel and use the disabled vessels boat number. Any and all calcutta money from the disabled vessel will be transferred to the new vessel. The disabled and the new vessel MUST BE REPORTED TO THE JSCA COMMITTEE PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.

10 All boats returning to their inlets, even if they do not have a fish to weigh MUST REPORT THEY ARE IN PORT SAFELY. THIS IS MANDATORY!

11 There will be no transferring of fish from boat to boat.

12 Upon weighing in your fish, the angler who landed the fish will be required to fill out Official JCSA Weigh slip that must be signed by the angler and the weigh master.

13 This is a trolling, jigging or chunking tournament.

14 USE OF HARPOONS IS PROHIBITED!

15 Any protests must be made to the JCSA Weigh master while the fish is hanging on the scale. The weigh master shall serve as judge and all his decisions are final!

16 JCSA reserves the right to engage a marine biologist to determine species freshness, and condition in any protest.

17 The tournament directors, Sponsors, and hosting facility assume NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSS.

18 All winners will be required to submit their social security number and photo ID before prizes will be rewarded. They MUST fill out all required paperwork and a 1099 will be issued...NO EXCEPTIONS!

19 In the event of a tie the 1st fish weighed in will be declared the winner.

20 All interpretation of the rules and final decisions will rest with the JCSA.

21 The JSCA reserves the right to deny entry to any vessel for any reason.

22 THE CAPTAIN IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF HIS CREW AND VESSEL.

23 The Tournament may be cancelled or postponed by the Tournament Committee.

24 In the event that the Tournament is cancelled or no eligible tuna are landed the winner will be determined by a drawing or a rain date will be set.

25 All Calcutta money less 10% charitable donations to NJ Make a Wish Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Carmelena Cares will be refunded if no eligible tuna or mahi mahi are caught.

I understand that in conjunction with engaging in this tournament, I could experience hazards and would be involved in certain risks. I further recognize that it would be impractical as well as unfair for the Jersey Coast Shark Anglers, its officers, directors, and committee members, sponsors, and all persons or boat owners and crew directly involved in, or connected with this tournament to be liable or responsible in any way for the safety of me or my crew. I hereby release, hold harmless and forever discharge the Tournament and its officers, directors, and committee members, sponsors, the boat owners and their crew from liability and or libel, slander, loss, damage, harm, injury or death suffered by me or my crew or which may occur during this tournament. I do understand this includes any claims based upon any negligent act or mission. I do understand that I entered this tournament at my own risk. I do hereby agree to the terms and conditions of this general release and agree to abide by the rules and regulations for competition in the JCSA TUNA FEVER tournament and affix my signature here to.
